Beginning the Affiliate Journey - Is Domain Parking a Good Way to Make Money Online?

The first topic that a lot of beginners of online marketing have trouble figuring out is exactly what is the timeframe that would be required to learn "all of this stuff" that is affiliate money making. We are going to explore some areas in this vague and variable issue but let us begin anyway..

When I was first entering the internet sphere of making cash I was clueless as exactly what programs would be right for me and pretty much did not know what I was doing. I ended up biting into a people search engine pyramid and next thing you know I am down a hundred bucks for the hosting I bought and mostly because of the Google AdWords pay per click advertising that I did for my "website" (really the search engine that gave me my own clone from which I would get commissions from the people searches I would bring to the root engine).

Not surprisingly, I gave up on the idea that people could easily one day just get up and without much specialty in the online field and start making money online. However, after about a year I saw a number of my friends do it and so I started looking into things that would fit my schedule. After about a month of on and off searching (because of work), I found some ways to accomplish said goal. For this week we have..

"Domain Parking"
Some say it is downright idiotic, others say it works, but let us explore the topic. Basically, if you do not own hundreds of domain names that are stuff that people would search for in the browser (and spell right), you won't make enough to cover your monthly gum fee. Really, just by the way that it works, those domain parking sites just fill your whole domain page with clickthrough ads that when visitors come would hopefully click and you get cents-worth of a commission.

But it all comes down to whether you have well chosen popular keywords in your domain. If it is something like sell.com (which has been taken since 1997), you would get a lot of typed-in traffic, but if it's something like weddingboulevards.com, that is not something that people would likely type into a browser, so your chances are slim with getting traffic if it is only parked.

SO, if you have $20,000 on the side, sure you probably can buy a lot of good domain names that are popular things people search for right from the browser, transfer them to domain parking companies like Parked, TrafficZ, HitFarm, and Sedo, and maybe earn some decent residual cash, but for the majority of us who wouldn't want to risk that kind of dough, domain parking isn't probably something to get excited about.
